Praying for Local Communities

‘Look to the Hills’ aims to proclaim blessing on our local communities as part of the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ global prayer movement during the period between Ascension & Pentecost.
Initiated by the Archbishops of Canterbury & York, ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is now an international activity encouraging Christians to pray that more people will come to know Jesus Christ.
Events as part of the ‘Look to the Hills’ activities will be centred on high places throughout the county. And even if you can’t climb the hills there are other opportunities to pray.

Previous Local Community Prayer Events

We were pleased to support ‘Streams of Blessing’ – 10 Days of Prayer for our communities at various locations across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin during May 2016 – a follow on from ‘Life on Track’ – 7 Days of 24-7 Prayer in November 2015.
‘Life on Track’ used locations based on the mainline railways in the county as a focus for prayer whilst ‘Streams of Blessing’ used the county’s waterways to inspire prayer in and for local communities.
Streams of Blessing’ – Walking the Waterways
We also teamed up with World Prayer Centre to prayer walk some of the major waterways of the county and a copy of their report can be found on the WPC website: GO>>>. Many thanks to Colin & Chrissie Greaves of WPC for their support and leadership of these prayer walks.
